Reseach has been carried out on the combustion characteristics of five decorating materials, i. e. PVC floor covering, PVC sheet, middle density board, fibre board and polypropylene carpet. Their fire characteristics,such as ignition times and heat release rates have been measured using the Cone Calorimeter. The ignition dada fall a very linear straight line if the plots of t i -1 vs. heat flux have been made. The Cone results and oxygen index values of these materials have been compared. |
