| Evacuation is quite difficult for underground building fires because of the limited ventilation and exit conditions. The performance-based fire protection analysis was employed in this paper for a large underground shopping center. The smoke movement and human evacuation were investigated and the safety egress time criterion was used for assessing whether the occupants could evacuate successfully. |
